Our tradition is one of continual focus on quality handcrafted signage, and the service-excellence our customers have come to expect. Many approaches have been discussed and witnessed, but National Sign has stood firmly to its core vision of effective visual communication through quality craftsmanship. Our product continues to stand the test of time — to be of lasting quality, and to be the standard by which our industry measures success. Our tradition is rooted in family — in the generations that make us who we are today, and in the thousands of sign projects that have made National Sign what it is today.

Our tradition began with historical signs such as the Merchant Cafe sign in Pioneer Square, a classic example of cutting-edge sign making of the day. Boasting hand-gilded lettering with incandescent bulbs, this sign was a true classic of its era. As time progressed so did the need for National Sign to forge new paths. In the late 1960s the signs we built for what is now Seatac International Airport, were internationally renowned as a successful model for way-finding systems. These models were used as a prototype for many other airports throughout the world.

Our tradition continues today. Our tools and materials have changed somewhat, with computerized systems and space-age fabrication techniques, but our traditional values have remained constant over time. Today we practice our tradition by applying yesterday’s wisdom to develop today’s products that will be the benchmarks of tomorrow. We have witnessed three generations of time, and now more than ever we understand the need for, and lasting value of, quality.
